The symbolic perception of the language of revelation among Muslim and Christian thinkers, especially their mystics, is one of the important interpretations of the non-cognitive theory with a long history. According to this theory, Quranic stories tell of a reality addressed to the audience through language, and therefore it is not necessary that what is narrated has an objective reality outside. Allamah Tabataba'i is one of the thinkers who has considered some verses, such as the verses of the creation of Adam, the speech, the stoning of the devils, to be symbolic. The present study aims to analyze this issue by analyzing and describing library findings and analyze Allamah's view based on Quranic verses and narrations, and to conclude that considering these verses as symbolic has requirements that are contrary to the spirit of the Quran and degrades the Quran from its main characteristic, which is to create confidence for the audience by expressing the best hadith and the best stories. It seems that we must accept that when the Quran speaks of an intangible and incomprehensible truth to the audience, it necessarily expresses it in a way that the audience can understand, even if only briefly.
