The global mission of the Quran, leading the whole mankind to the right path, requires the use of a language that everyone can speak with. This possibility is provided by a literary language. In this paper, I shall argue for the view that the language of the Quran is literary, and on the basis of the theory of the inseparability of the literary language from the ordinary one, I will analyze the nature and requirements of the Quran's literary language. I define the Quran's literary language with different features from the ones common in contemporary exegesis; features such as meta-normativity, artistic ambiguity, multi-layer significance, fundamental fitness, and pure realism of the Quran. These features, given the literary language of the Quran, show that the difference between the language of the Quran and the ordinary language only arises from the role it plays in the Quranic discourse.
