Given the emphasis in Imami (Shia) narrations on referring humans in all aspects of life to the Imam as the Religious Authority (Marja' Dīnī), and the presentation of the Imam as the holder of the status of Religious Authority, this research seeks to answer the question of whether all the conditions and attributes of the Imamate can be redefined and organized within the framework of the Religious Authority of the Ahl al-Bayt . In other words, if we analyze the Imamate from the perspective of the Religious Authority of the Ahl al-Bayt, to what extent can the conditions and attributes of the Imamate be proven for the status of the Religious Authority of the Ahl al-Bayt, and does rereading and interpreting the Imamate from this perspective limit or expand the scope of the conditions and attributes of the Imamate? In this article, three fundamental conditions of the Imam are examined, and their connection with the Religious Authority of the Ahl al-Bayt is analyzed. The research findings indicate that all important statuses of the Imam, including Divine Appointment (Nasb Ilāhī), Specific Knowledge ('Ilm Khāṣṣ), and Infallibility ('Iṣmah), are established for the status of the Religious Authority of the Ahl al-Bayt. It also shows that the Religious Authority of the Ahl al-Bayt is not only compatible with the conditions and attributes of the Imamate but also, as a coherent framework, possesses the capacity to redefine and prove these statuses.By filling the existing research gap, this study provides the groundwork for rereading the Imamate in a practical framework that responds to the needs of the Shia community. This research utilizes Shia hadith texts and the rational method. The combination of the scriptural (naqlī) and rational ('aqlī) methods means that in addition to citing narrations, rational arguments extracted from these same narrations are also employed.
