Some philosophers believe in the equivocity of “existence” and others adhere to its univocity. A proponent of equivocity is Mullā Rajabalī Tabrīzī. He believes that the term “exist” means two distinct things when it is used about the necessary being and possible beings. The main problem of this article is to provide an account of this thesis and the arguments of Tabrīzī for his view. We offer our critiques as well as two interpretations of his equivocity thesis. One interpretation was provided by Mullā Abd al-Raḥīm Damāwandī and the other by a student of Tabrīzī called Mīr Ismāʿīl Khātūnābādī. The method of this research is library research and descriptive-analytic. The rough conclusion of this paper is that Tabrīzī fails to articulate philosophical arguments for the equivocity of “existence,” and his evidence from religious texts is worthy of consideration only if we accept his peculiar method of exegesis. Of the two interpretations of Tabrīzī’s thesis of equivocity of “existence,” that of Mīr Ismāʿīl Khātūnābādī is more accurate and noteworthy in our view.}, keywords = {Mullā Rajabalī Tabrīzī,equivocity of “existence,” univocity of “existence,” Mīr Ismāʿīl Khātūnābādī,Mullā Abd al-Raḥīm Damāwandī}, title_fa = {تحلیل دیدگاه ملارجبعلی تبریزی درباره اشتراک لفظی وجود و دو تفسیر از آن}, abstract_fa = {اشتراک لفظی و معنوی وجود همواره یکی از دغدغه‌های فیلسوفان متأخر اسلامی (از زمان میرداماد تا عصر حاضر) بوده است. در این میان برخی از فیلسوفان قائل به اشتراک لفظی وجود و عده‌ای دیگر قائل به اشتراک معنوی وجود شده‌اند. یکی از فیلسوفان قائل به اشتراک لفظی وجود، ملا رجبعلی تبریزی است. وی معتقد است که وجود میان واجب و ممکن به دو معنای متفاوت به‌کار می‌رود. مسئلۀ اصلی در این مقاله، بیان و تحلیل همین آموزه و دلیل‌های تبریزی است. این تحلیل هم از رهگذر نقدهای نگارنده و هم از رهگذر بیان دو تفسیر از این آموزه بیان می‌شود. تفسیر اول از آنِ ملا عبدالرحیم دماوندی و تفسیر دیگر برای یکی از شاگردان تبریزی به نام میرمحمداسماعیل خاتون‌‌آبادی است. روش بحث کتابخانه‌ای و توصیفی‌ـ‌تحلیلی است. نتیجۀ اجمالی که این مقاله به آن دست ‌یافته این است که تبریزی در بیان ادلۀ عقلی برای اثبات اشتراک لفظی وجود ناکام است و ادلۀ نقلی او نیز تنها با توجه به روش تفسیری خود او قابل اعتنا خواهند بود و از میان دو تفسیری که از آموزۀ اشتراک لفظی وجود نزد تبریزی بیان می‌شود، نظر میرمحمداسماعیل خاتون‌‌آبادی درست‌تر و درخور توجه بیشتر است.}, keywords_fa = {ملا رجبعلی تبریزی,‌ اشتراک لفظی وجود,اشتراک معنوی وجود,میرمحمداسماعیل خاتون‌آبادی,ملا عبدالرحیم دماوندی}, url = {https://jpt.isca.ac.ir/article_72990.html}, eprint = {https://jpt.isca.ac.ir/article_72990_ad72fb8622c75dbe5f08c6062e35c963.pdf} }
